“Teach Me To Talk with Laura and Kate” for May 13, 2010
On this week’s podcast we’ll be answering questions found here on the website including:
How important is pointing and how can I get my child to do this?
How do I know the difference between autism and apraxia and can my child have both?
How come my child says words once and then never again?
How concerned should I be about intelligibility and sound substitutions at 2?
My own guidelines for when/what to count as “real words” in toddler’s vocabularies
If you didn’t listen live, you can always listen later anytime using the blogtalkradio icon in the right hand column or on the home page.
Our show is also available for FREE download on itunes. Visit the itunes store and search “Teach Me to Talk with Laura and Kate.” For you itunes novices, choose subscribe, and the show will download so you can listen later with your ipod.
Hope you’ll join us then! Laura

Hi Laura! I just finished listening to this podcast the other day. Can you provide a link to your article on helping children learn how to perform simple gestures? I’m having a hard time finding it on the website, and would be very interested in reading it! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

There’s going to be a section in the new book about this as well! Laura
