Podcast for June 3, 2010
We’re not doing our show today! If you’ve tuned in, take a minute and leave me a comment here on the site about what you wished we’d talked about today! Questions from moms keep us going, so please send those in. If you’re uncomfortable leaving it as a comment for the world to see, email me at Laura@teachmetotalk.com.
I hope you’ll join us next week! Laura

Hi Laura and Kate! Well, I’m behind on some of my listening so you may have already covered this topic already but as a new SLP I think it would be great if ya’ll covered something like ‘Tips for the New EI Clinician’ or ‘Tricks They Didn’t teach you in school’ when it comes to behavioral/speech therapy. I’m interested in starting some PRN work in early intervention but the idea of traveling into homes is scary! Advice on what to do, how to make kids comfortable, improvise, etc. would be helpful. Thanks guys - love the show (and the DVD’s too)!

Albern - Check the articles What Works/ What Doesn’t Work for many of those kinds of tips. Also read “10 Things Your SLP Won’t Tell You.”
I LOVE this question, so Kate and I will be talking about it on one of our upcoming shows - probably next week since the agenda this week is pretty full already!
Thanks for listening! I love to hear from other therapists working in Early Intervention!!!!!! Laura
