ASHA CEU Course #379 Teach Toddlers a Variety of Syllable Shapes and Change Vowels

Many times when we’re working with toddlers with speech intelligibility issues, we don’t know where to begin – or we start working on the wrong things and then we are met with little progress and lots of frustration! There are 6 developmentally-appropriate patterns to target to improve speech intelligibility in very young children. In this show, ASHA CEU Course #379 Teach Toddlers a Variety of Syllable Shapes and Change Vowels from Syllable to Syllable to Improve Speech Intelligibility, I’ll teach you patterns 4 and 5, introducing a variety of syllable shapes and switching vowels from syllable to syllable. You’ll learn how to explain to parents why these patterns are important for speech development and how to determine if their toddler uses these patterns already. Receive developmentally appropriate word lists for toddlers. Join pediatric speech-language pathologist Laura Mize, M.S., CCC-SLP of teachmetotalk.com for this one-hour audio/video podcast.
