ASHA CEU Course Creating Verbal Routines for Late Talking Toddlers
UPDATED ASHA COURSE #1011 BEGINNING IN OCTOBER 2024
Learning to talk during Verbal Routines is a critical, “in between” step for many late talkers. Creating Verbal Routines is designed to teach you how to develop and introduce verbal routines to toddlers with language delays and disorders. In this 68 minute video, ASHA CEU Course Creating Verbal Routines for Late Talking Toddlers, I’ll explain what a verbal routine is and why this strategy is successful with ALL young children, including those with language delays, and provide lots of examples for developing and using your own verbal routines.
Finally, you’ll see approximately 30 minutes of therapy video clips when I’ve used verbal routines in speech therapy sessions with toddlers and young preschoolers. Because this is REAL LIFE therapy, there will even be clips when it doesn’t go as smoothly as we’d like. As I always say, that’s okay, because therapy is REAL life. No actors. No Hollywood set. No sound studio. This video is real life therapy in a real office and real homes with a real therapist, real kid, and real parents.

Satisfactory Course Completion Requirements
Participants must have watched the video and paid the $7 processing fee to obtain a certificate of completion and/or to have your participation submitted to the ASHA CE Registry. Once the $7 fee is paid, you will be redirected to complete additional information online required to award a Certificate of Completion which includes completion of the Verification Statement that you watched the video, Self Assessment of Learning Outcomes, a Program Evaluation, Request for Certificate, and an ASHA CEU participant form or your ASHA number for filing ASHA CEUs (if applicable). Once all required sections are completed and submitted, you will receive access to generate your certificate which will be emailed to you upon final review of your submission. No credit will be awarded without completion of this entire process. ASHA CEU information is submitted monthly and will appear on your ASHA CEU Registry shortly thereafter. Partial credit is not available.
For Other Professionals: Upon completion and return of the forms and receipt of your $7 registration fee, a Certificate of Completion will be provided so that you may file for continuing education with your own organization or licensing agency.
For Non-Professionals and Parents: All course content is offered at an Introductory, Professional Level and may not be suitable for all parents or non-professionals. If you'd like a Certificate of Completion, you may also register for credit.
