SLP CEU Courses for Pediatric SLPs who Specialize in Birth to 3, Toddlers, Preschool
My Early Speech-Language Development: Taking Theory to the Floor (Expanded Edition) is now on DVD!!!
This 12-hour course is a made-for-DVD production, rather than video of a live event, so there are no distractions and no interruptions.
I listened to feedback from attendees over the past 3 years and expanded this course from 6 hours to 12 hours. Even if you’ve seen the same course live, you’ll still get new information with additional references, resources, and Evidence-Based Practice.
The best part about this Expanded Edition, Early Speech-Language Development: Taking Theory to the Floor EE, is that I was able to add even more video examples of therapy sessions! There are now over 50 clips of toddlers and young preschoolers so that you can SEE the strategies we’re discussing in real life with real kids. All of the clips aren’t of “perfect” sessions either, meaning that you’ll see me face the same challenges you do when you’re working with a very young child and a family whether at home or in a clinical setting.
If you’ve struggled with designing effective treatment plans for your youngest clients ages birth to 4, then this is the course for you! We’ll spend most of the course talking about TREATMENT strategies, and I’ll introduce you to my SIMPLE TREATMENT HIERARCHY complete with checklists and 12 hours full of treatment strategies to encompass the entire gamut of your caseloads from non-verbal children with social communication disorders to toddlers who are ready to work on speech intelligibility.
How do you make treatment decisions, prioritize goals, and determine what techniques to use in sessions? How do you maximize a child’s participation in sessions AND your effectiveness as an early intervention professional? This course will help you clarify your position, your philosophy, and your overall approach as you provide services for your youngest clients. If you’re a seasoned professional (like me!) or a new grad, you’re sure to complete this course with treatment guidelines to support your practice.
